Audiocassette, backstage

(English)

Working with Moleskine at the new "Audio Cassette" limited edition was the occasion for exploring styles, memories, and contemporary trends. We've enjoyed playing with colors and rhythms, remembering the time when songs belonged to a tactile world of keys, forward and rewind.
One of our sources of inspiration for the video was The line by Osvaldo Cavandoli, one of the most famous and important italian animation, which has almost the same age of the audio cassette.

We've discovered Simon Reynolds book Retromania and the Hauntology scene, with its universe of electronic music and nostalgia. We've also read the book "Hits: Philosophy in the juke-box" by philosopher Peter Szendy, published in Italy by ISBN as "Tormentoni! La filosofia nel juke-box" You can see the whole projects here.

'La linea' di Osvaldo Cavandoli
